Job Description: As a Cowboy at Teague Cattle, you will play a vital role in our daily operations and the care of our livestock. You will work closely with our team to ensure the well-being and productivity of our cattle while upholding our commitment to quality and efficiency. Responsibilities include:

• Livestock Care: Providing daily care and attention to cattle, including feeding, watering, and monitoring health.

• Herd Management: Assisting in the management of cattle herds, including sorting, herding, and handling livestock in a safe and humane manner.

• Facility Maintenance: Participating in the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, equipment, and pastures to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

• Fencing and Infrastructure: Assisting in the construction and repair of fences, gates, and other infrastructure as needed.

• Equipment Operation: Operating and maintaining ranch equipment such as tractors, ATVs, and trucks.

• Health and Safety: Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

• Team Collaboration: Working closely with ranch managers and other team members to achieve operational goals and objectives.

• Flexibility: Being adaptable to changing priorities and willing to assist with various tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with cattle preferred but not required.

• Strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.

• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

• Comfortable with physical labor and able to lift heavy objects.

 JOB TITLE: FEED TRUCK DRIVER

Location: Hamlin, TX

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Other duties may be assigned. Responsibilities include:

• Operates a feed truck to distribute a pre-determined quantity of feed to cattle daily; follows yard-specific guidelines regarding accuracy, distribution, and timeliness. Use of laptop device to communicate loads and pens assigned.

• Recognizes different feed rations.

• Corrects mistakes by shoveling over-fed quantities back onto the truck, notifying the manager of misfeeds, and cleaning up spills.

• Cleans bunks out according to yard specifications, including regular removal of mold, rocks, manure, etc...

• Minimizes truck downtime by performing truck servicing and inspection according to schedule.

• Maintains a clean truck by cleaning out trash, wiping out, and washing according to schedule.

• Complies with all applicable safety rules and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license

• Employee is regularly exposed to airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and shovel feed on a regular basis. This position requires sitting for long periods while operating a motor vehicle. Frequently to occasionally the employee is required to push/pull, reach, bend, stand, climb, squat, kneel, lift, carry, twist, grasp/squeeze. Working with or near cattle, horses, vehicles, and equipment in all weather conditions.

JOB TITLE: TRUCK DRIVER 

CLASS A CDL

Trucking is a vital part of our daily operations. We are looking for an individual(s) who has experience hauling livestock and/or grain commodities. Responsibilities include:

• Safely operate trucks in compliance with all traffic regulations and company policies.

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.

• Transport goods in a safe and timely manner.

• Maintain truck and trailers in good working condition.

• Perform general maintenance and service procedures.

• Keep and maintain records of hauls, BOLs, tickets, fuel receipts, and any other paperwork.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with manual transmission vehicles.

• Current Class A CDL with Medical Card.
